ABOUT American Battery Solutions Inc.

Powering tomorrow's energy solutions, today

American Battery Solutions Inc. is an industrial and commercial battery manufacturer located in the heart of the U.S. automotive industry. The company was founded by long-time battery industry pioneer Subhash Dhar supported by capital funding by the KCK Group. Mr Dhar’s pioneering development and commercialization NiMh technology with Ovonic Battery Systems, followed by subsequent leadership roles in lithium-ion companies such as Ener1, Envia Systems, and XALT Energy set the stage for the creation of ABS.

Together, this leadership team has grown ABS from an idea to launching multiple products in less than five years. The ABS initial team consisted of battery systems experts with decades of experience in designing, developing, and manufacturing advanced battery systems for the transportation industry which included industry experts, like Dr. John Warner, Ivan Menjak, Jeff Hartwig, Gary Wilson, Peter Buccilli, Arun Kumar and others. Collectively, we’ve collaborated on the launch of the industry’s most well-known programs with OEM customers, such as Toyota, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler, BMW, Daimler-Mercedes and others. Today we continue that tradition as we launch a series of products into transit buses, eLCV delivery vans, recreational boating, lawn maintenance, medium & heavy-duty trucking vehicles& material handling equipment.

With the investment from KCK Group, American Battery Solutions Inc. acquired manufacturing and battery pack testing assets from Robert Bosch Battery Systems. Today, those assets have been converted and expanded to accommodate the development and launch of ABS’ products and customers and stand ready to accommodate future customer growth. As we have grown, ABS has assembled a world-class team of dedicated and experienced engineers. This team is equipped with a deep understanding of high-voltage, automotive-grade battery systems—from concept development and prototyping, to testing and validation, to high-volume production. Meaning no one is more qualified to work on an EV battery or ESS system that can power your energy needs.

Mission
To provide our customers safe, innovative, affordable energy storage to electrify a sustainable and greener world.

Vision
To become the preferred global leader for energy storage solutions.

Values
Safety, Accountability, Customer Centric, Innovation, Integrity.

Solving the key challenges of electrification

As the world shifts to an electric future, the skills needed to be successful also change. Perhaps the biggest change is the addition of a high-voltage battery system. This transition brings about several key challenges that ABS is well-suited to solve. Successfully developing and integrating these batteries requires a deep knowledge of the battery as a system—since these new generations of energy storage require a knowledge of every engineering field: chemistry, thermal dynamics, mechanical & structural, electronics, electrical, and software. With this knowledge, ABS can solve the challenges of Safety, Performance, Life, Cost and Environment.
